Dear Esteemed Members, Students, and Friends,

It is a privilege to share with you the activities and accomplishments of the ICAI Kottayam Branch during the month of September 2026. The month witnessed a meaningful blend of professional learning, academic pursuits, and fellowship, reflecting the vibrant spirit of our Branch.

On 5th September 2026, the Branch organised a CPE Seminar on “FCRA: New Rules, New Questions – Decoding Recent Amendments and Regulatory Developments”, led by CA Jacob Baboo, Kottayam. The session provided members with valuable insights into the evolving regulatory framework, recent amendments, and practical aspects of FCRA compliance. The programme carried 3 Hours of CPE Credit and served as a valuable platform for professional enrichment and knowledge enhancement.

The occasion was further enriched by the Onam celebrations organised by the Branch. Our SICASA students presented an impressive range of cultural programmes, showcasing their talent, enthusiasm, and creativity. Their active participation contributed significantly to the success of the celebrations. The programme concluded with a traditional Onam Sadhya, providing an opportunity for members and students to come together and celebrate the spirit of harmony and fellowship.

I place on record my sincere appreciation to the members, SICASA students, and all those who contributed towards the successful conduct of these programmes. Such initiatives strengthen our professional fraternity while fostering a sense of community and belonging.

September was also significant from an academic perspective, with the examinations being successfully completed. I commend all our students for their perseverance, discipline, and commitment throughout their preparation. I extend my very best wishes to all the candidates awaiting their results and sincerely hope that their efforts culminate in well-deserved success.

As we commence the month of October, I encourage all our members and students to continue pursuing professional excellence, lifelong learning, ethical practice, and meaningful contribution to society. The rapidly evolving professional landscape calls upon us to remain informed, adaptable, and committed to the highest standards of our profession.
