Dear Esteemed Members,

Greetings to all.

The month of March has been vibrant and memorable, filled with professional excellence, meaningful gatherings, and moments of togetherness for our branch.
We began the month on a grand note with the Official Installation Ceremony of the Office Bearers for the year 2026–2027, held on 14th March, followed by a warm and joyful family get-together. The occasion was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, CA. Babu Abraham Kallivayalil, Chairman, Board of Studies, ICAI. We were also honoured to have CA. Jomon K George, Past Chairman, SIRC of ICAI, who extended his felicitations, adding value and inspiration to the event.
On 19th March, we celebrated Women’s Day with great enthusiasm, coupled with a 2-hour CPE session. We were privileged to have Mrs. Meriya Theras B Chakiath, Director – Navya Bakes & Confectioneries India Private Limited, as the Chief Guest. The session was further enriched by CA. Ramya N, Past Chairperson of ICAI Kottayam Branch, who shared valuable insights on recent changes in TDS.

On the same day, we also held a condolence meeting to express our heartfelt sorrow on the sad demise of our respected senior member, CA. V K Kuryan, FCA. His contributions and legacy will always remain in our memories.

The Managing committee members attended the Training for Managing Committee members of Southern region held at Hyderabad on 23 and 24 of March 2026.

On 28th March 2026, we proudly constituted the new SICASA team and formally handed over charge at a meeting held at ICAI Bhavan. This transition marks the beginning of a new chapter driven by youthful energy, fresh ideas, and a shared commitment to excellence. I extend my best wishes to the incoming team and am confident that they will take SICASA to greater heights with dedication, innovation, and strong leadership.

Continuing our focus on professional development, a Seminar on Bank Branch Audit was conducted on 30th March, offering 5 hours of CPE credit. The program was inaugurated by Shri. Vivek P Nair, Assistant General Manager (SME), SBI Administrative Office, Kottayam. The technical sessions were handled by CA. Nithin N (Ernakulam) and CA. Manu K T Balachandran (Ernakulam), covering key areas including verification of advances and CBS environment with great clarity.

As we mark the close of the financial year, I sincerely appreciate the dedication, commitment, and hard work of all our members during this crucial period. Your professionalism and perseverance continue to strengthen the reputation of our fraternity.

As we step into a new professional year, let us continue to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to our profession and society. I encourage each member to actively participate in the upcoming programs and initiatives of the branch.

I also take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt wishes to all members and their families on the joyous occasions of Easter and Vishu. May these festivals bring renewed hope, prosperity, and happiness into your lives.
