My Dear Professional Colleagues and Students,

Greetings from the desk of the Chairman

It is a matter of pride and honor for me to be handed over the responsibility to carry forward the baton of our esteemed branch. The Kottayam Branch of SIRC of ICAI is one of the most vibrant branches in the country which is always working towards serving the members and students of this region.

Taking the legacy forward from the predecessors who have brought laurels to this branch by taking proactive role in the overall development of the profession, it would be our endeavor to work for more and more professional opportunities for the members, updating the members with latest developments by organizing various professional education programs, workshops and seminars. Technology has a great role in growth of our profession today, special focus will be given to skill up our members with the use of technology in various spheres of professional practice.

I urge upon the members to come forward with suggestions by which we can build up the image of our beloved profession and together we can keep the flag of our Institute flying high.

As stated by former President of India Late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam that ‘Chartered Accountants are partners in Nation Building’. Our efforts and deeds should be directed in a manner that we can continuously live up to the duties and trust which has been entrusted upon by the Constitution of the country.

Our students are the future of our profession, it is also our duty to look into their overall development in both academic and non-academic fields so that they can evolve into global professionals. The Branch will take all endeavors to ensure that all opportunities for their overall development may be made available to the students of this region and they do not have go outstation for availing such opportunities.

I once again thank all the membership my beloved branch for reposing faith and I hope that I will be able to live up to your expectations.
